  • SUGAR INTAKE: in food and drink- which bacteria that grow on teeth between twice daily brushing- break down.

  • SUGAR ACID: Is produced by bacteria from these sugars, which attack and dissolve tooth enamel.

  • MINERAL LOSS: Such as calcium. The first step in decay.

  • OVER TIME: Tooth decay can continue and develop if unchecked and untreated.

Everyday steps to reduce the risk of cavities:

>Brush your teeth twice daily. Use a toothpaste containing 1350-1500 ppm Fluoride, and always brush last thing before sleeping.

>Cut down on processed sugar. Reduce snacks.

>Visit your dentist, as often as they recommend.
